Chapel Services for Nola Voidean Slape, 99, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Zapata Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. David Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories in Paducah. Mrs. Slape passed from this life on February 27, 2015 in Childress.
Voidean was born on January 15, 1916 in Henderson County, Texas to Benjamin Oscar Shavor and Mary Ethel Tidmore Shavor. She married J.D. Slape in Paducah on January 17, 1932. She was a lifelong member of the the Baptist Church in Chalk. Voidean farmed for a living.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Nash and husband Nebbie. Son in law: Preston Bayne Sister: Bettye Faye Thacker
Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and her parents. Her daughter Bennie Bayne passed away a day after her.
