*Obituary
Luther U. Pickard, 81, of 1115 Andress in Borger died at 1 p.m. Friday, in the Magic Plains Nursing Home.

A retired station engineer for the Phillips Petroleum Company, he was a native of Lead Hill, Ark., and a Borger resident for 54 years.

He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Viola, of the home; a daughter, Alene Srygley of Borger; sons H.B. of Borger, Troy of Borger; a sister, Ruth Davis, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Hoy Pickard, of Okmulgee, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Henderson officiating.

Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of the Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
