Andrew Payton Glass I was born in Golconda, Pope County, Illinois on November 20, 1925 to Mildred Mae Jones and Guy Lester Glass. Andrew was the brother to 9 sisters and one brother who died at birth in 1918.

He married Miss Fern Mona Royal in 1946 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. From this union they had 7 children.

Andrew enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was honorably discharged on November 28, 1946.

Mr. Glass died on September 27, 1999 in Harris County, Texas at the age of 73. He and Fern are buried together near their infant son Guy, who was born and died in 1963.
