Ned Mansell Smith was born on April 22, 1923 in Trinity, Trinity County, Texas to Frederick Adair Smith and Alice Lorraine Mansell.
He was married to Marilyn/Marion DeGraff from 1959-1973. They were wed in Carson City, Nevada & divorced in Marin County, California.
The University of Texas at Austin yearbook in 1941 shows Ned Mansell Smith was a student and a member of the Naval R.O.T.C. He was shown as 4th Petty Officer, 10th Squad Leader.
Ned was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corp. and proudly served in two wars; World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Smith died August 22, 1988 in Belvedere Tiburon, Marin County, California.
