Walter Edward Pierce was born on March 1, 1894 in New Waverly, Walker County, Texas to Enoch Edward "Edd" Pierce and Mary Pricilla "Mollie" Naul.

He married Thiada Sybil Saylor in Harris County, Texas on May 24, 1922. The had a son named William Walter Pierce.

Walter was a disabled World War I Veteran.

Mr. Pierce died on July 7, 1930 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at the age of 36 of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

Walter, Thiada and William are all buried together at Earthman Resthaven in Houston, Texas.
