Fred August Krauser Sr. was born in Cedar Springs, Falls County, Texas on February 8, 1900 to Charles Fritz Krauser and Mary Jane "Mattie" Votaw (died in Williamson County, Texas in 1910). They had 7 children from this union. His father remarried in 1911 to Martha "Mattie" Frances Holloway, adding 6 step-siblings for Fred.

In 1924, Fred married Annie Harmenia Chanik, from this union, they had 7 children.

On March 9, 1917 he joined the U.S. Navy and fought in World War I as a Gunner's Mate 3. He was Honorably discharged on October 13, 1919.

Fred was a life-long Texan and lived his later years out in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Krauser died on August 12, 1959 in Austin, Travis County, Texas at the age of 59 after a sudden illness. He is buried with his wife Annie, two daughters, Mary and Margie, and one son, Fred August Krauser Jr. to date (2021).
