Services for Bonard G. Stice, 81, of Brownfield will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Addington officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Bonard passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at his home in Brownfield. He was born Aug. 17, 1926 in the Johnson Community, Terry County, Texas to Bernie and Nellie Stice. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1943. He enlisted in the Navy and served in WWII from 1944 to 1946. He married Gladys Grawunder July 24, 1944 in Meadow, Texas. Bonard was a long time farmer in the Johnson Community. He owned Johnson Gin and had been involved in oil and gas production. Bonard had served on the Brownfield Hospital Board and served as President. He had been a director of First National Bank of Brownfield and had served on the Terry County Appraisal District Board. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Nellie Stice and Lee and Ethel Fulton and by one brother, Harold B. Stice. He was a member of Brownfield First United Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Bonard is survived by his wife Gladys; a son, Harry Stice; two daughters, Janice Auburg and her husband David and Sandra Beyer, all of Brownfield; two grandchildren, Lance Auburg and his wife Cenny of Henderson, Nev. and Angela Wood and her husband Randy of Lubbock; three great-grandchildren, Austin Auburg, Gracie Wood and Allie Wood.

The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Brownfield or ones favorite charity.
