*Obituary Rufus
Rufus R. Platt, 82, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fellowship Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. Bill Sizemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. Platt was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a retired master plumber.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a daughter, Carole Marburger of Yukon, Okla.; two sons, Kenneth Platt of Paramount, Calif., and Charles Platt of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Tommy Platt of Houston; two sisters, Louise Sarter of Roger and Dollie Lee of Kingston, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.

Joyce Ann Platt, 74, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Sizemore, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in "Eastlawn Garden" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Joyce was born on June 19, 1934 in Union City, Oklahoma and had been a Borger resident since 1936. She was a homemaker and member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Platt loved her family, her church family, playing games and she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. R. Platt, son - Harold Platt and brother - Wayne L. Hinds.
She is survived by her daughter - Carole Marburger and husband Larry of Yukon, OK, step-son - Charles Platt of Long Beach, CA, two brothers - J. R. Stout of Anderson, MO, Darrell Hinds of Buena Park, CA, two sisters - Videll McDonald of Fritch, Helen Miller of El Reno, OK, four grandchildren - Branson, Shandon, Tiana & Ethan Marburger and one great-grandson - Conway Marburger.
Casket bearers will be Nathan Gillilan, Darin Sherwood, Chad Hoffman, Lonnie Rawls, Devon Mobley, and Brad Lindbloom.
