Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home for Johnnie Calvin Powell, 59, who died early today in a local hospital.
Surviving are four sons, Cpl. James Alvin Powell of Bakersfield, Calif., Henry Leroy Powell, William Edward Powell, and Bobby Ray Powell, all of Borger; a daughter, Goldie Evelyn Powell of Borger; a brother, Tommy William Powell of Texarkana; and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bowden of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mrs. Idabell Phelps of Forman, Ark., Mrs. Maudie Hannan and Mrs. Annie Lou Henley of Pueblo, Colo.
Powell had been a resident of Borger for the past year and a half.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Paul B. Cullen. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home.
