Johnnie Howell
PADUCAH (Special) - Services for Johnnie Leathers Howell, 82, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Utter, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Seigler Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, in a Paducah nursing home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1915, in Cottle County. She married H.B. "Red" Leathers on Jan. 24, 1938, and he died in 1963. She married Hobson R. Howell on June 11, 1968, and he died Feb. 16, 1993.
She operated a movie theater in Paducah for many years, and she farmed.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a Texas life member of the PTA, and she was a life master in Bridge. She helped organize the Paducah Duplicate Bridge Club in 1963.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Lackey of San Antonio and Paula Kohan of Dallas; a stepson, Michael Howell of New York City; a sister, Sybil Jones of Dallas; and three grandchildren.
