Pate F. Collier, 93, of Brownfield passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Brownfield.
Pate was born on August 25, 1916 in Junction, TX to Allen and Carrie Collier. He moved to Brownfield as a child where he graduated from high school. He joined the United States Army in 1941 serving in World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. Pate then married Oneida Proctor on October 5, 1946 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2009. He was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge # 903 and the American Legion # 269.
Pate is survived by his son, Coleman Collier and wife Cheryl of Krugerville, TX; his daughter, Claudette Schultz of Brownfield; 3 grandchildren, Darrick Toon, Camron D. Collier and Cody Lee Collier and 3 great grandchildren, Hart Daniel Collier, Cerin Lynne Collier and Payton Ray Collier.
