Funeral services for Charlie Taylor Reese, 77, of 1129 Hackberry, are pending with Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.

Reese died Tuesday afternoon in Leisure Lodge Nursing Home.

He was born Mar. 5, 1898 in Russett, Okla. He was a farmer and worked for the railroad in his early years. He came to Borger from Madill, Okla. in 1951 and was employed by the Texas Highway Dept. until he retired in 1962. He then worked as custodian for eight years at the Phillips United Methodist Church.

He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Irene of the home; five sons, Buddy and Charlie Jr., both of Borger, J.L. of Fritch, Jessie Ray Kidd of Bridge City and James Kidd of Plainview.

Also, five daughters, Mrs. Melvin Coyle, Mrs. R.V. Wilson and Mrs. Wade Cryer, all of Borger, Mrs. Gary Ingrum of Bell, Calif. and Mrs. Bill Owen of Grapevine; three brothers, John Reese, Arthur and Fred Shipley, all of Madill; a sister, Mrs. Alice Morgan of Madill; 37 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
