Captain James Edward Wright was born on November 5, 1940 in Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas to James Ethelbert Wright and Dorothy Elizabeth Vickers.

James enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 25, 1966 and was honorably discharged on September 25, 1969. He served in the Vietnam War and from this he is the recipient of the BRONZE STAR MEDAL FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE AND OAK LEAF CLUSTER.

He married Adele Davis Wright in 1970 in Brazos County, Texas.

James had the following children:

Mr. Wright died on September 5, 2000 at the age of 59 in Temple, Bell County, Texas.
