Joseph Henry Tucker was born to Joseph Henry Tucker Sr. and Carolyn Davis in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island on February 15, 1875.

In 1914, he married Mary Lillian Lovett.

Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 2, 1902 and served in the Spanish-American War. He was honorably discharged on October 6, 1914.

After the war, he moved to Somerville, Burleson County, Texas and worked as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Mr. Tucker died on Christmas Eve in 1972 in a Bellville, Austin County, Texas hospital at the age of 97. He is buried next to his wife in Oaklawn Cemetery. Joseph preceded her in death by 5 years.
