Preston Lamar Roden, 54, of Borger, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. He was born on September 15, 1960 to John and Bobbie Roden in Chattanooga, Tn. He is preceded in death by his father, John Roden, and brother, Bob Roden.
Preston was raised in Borger, moving here with the family when he was 7 years old. He excelled in Little League baseball for many years and was a 1978 graduate of Borger High School. Preston was a pumper for Phillips 66 Refinery before moving to Denver City, Tx to work for Mustang Power Plant.
He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Roden of Borger, brother Bill Roden of New Braunfels, Tx, and sister, Teresa Bellow and Deborah Johnson of Borger.
He is also survived by his daughter, Amber Rasbury of Eastland, Tx, precious 1 year old twin grandsons, Cael and Connor, one granddaughter on the way, Amber's mother, Lisa Roden of Waxahachie, Tx., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preston was an excellent bass guitar player and had played with several local country and western bands, but rock n roll was in his blood. Give him a name of a rock n roll band and he could tell you every band member in it. He also was a huge Jeopardy fan and could answer just about every question.
Preston loved Harleys, his truck, and animals, especially cats.
His family and friends will miss his mischievous grin and quick wit. Our love for you will never end.
