Funeral services for Joe Hailes, age 90 of Seminole, Texas will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Westside Church of Christ with Brother Tom Keyes officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. The church will allow a limited number of attendees inside for the funeral service, and it is suggested that a mask be worn, and social distancing practiced, in keeping with CDC guidelines. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Hailes was born in Ringling, Oklahoma on September 10, 1930 to Eunice (Gibson) and Henford Pete Hailes. He married Marcella Mallory on June 17, 1980 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ and worked as a chemist for Odessa National United Chemical Tubescape and C.E. Vetco. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a radio operator on B-29 bombing missions to Korea. Joe’s hobby and passion was the love of playing golf.
Joe Hailes went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home in Seminole, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Marcella Hailes of Seminole; two daughters, Sharon Mathews and Cindy K. Hailes; two brothers, Cecil Hailes and Herbert Hailes; two sisters, Marjorie Gallas and Jane Williams; and one grandchild. www.boyerfuneralhome.net
