Funeral services for Carl Joseph Schmitz, 67, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday from Minton Memorial Chapel. The Rev. James L. Daly of St. John's Catholic Church will officiate.

Interment in Highland Park Cemetery will be directed by Minton Mortuary.

Schmitz was a resident of Borger for 35 years, associated with Cities Service Oil Company of Borger prior to retirement. He was born Jan. 29, 1898, in Clarendon, and died at 2:35 a.m. today in North Plains Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Nadine, 420 Madison; daughter, Miss Carla Schmitz of Amarillo; son, Bobby of Houston; six brothers, A.L. Schmitz Sr., of Borger, Leo of Gainesville, W.A. and Bob of Ft. Worth, Frank of Dallas, and Tom of Hope, Ark.

Also five sisters, Mrs. Ann Shellburg, Mrs. O.H. Lamsens, Mrs. A.W. Mackey, all of Ft. Worth, Mrs. E.C. Jennings, Kingsville and Mrs. Mary Hassel of Greenville.
