George W. Self, 54, a pioneer Borger businessman, died of a heart attack at 4 a.m. today at his home at 311 West Fifth. He has been a Borger resident since 1926. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Borger.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of the home; one son, Tom Self of Sumter South Carolina; one sister, Mrs. A.B. Harris of Washington, D.C.; one brother, John Self of Maplewood, Louisiana; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are pending with the Minton Funeral Home.

*Obituary Elizabeth
Mrs. Self died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1992 in Sumpter, S.C.
A native of Arkansas, she had been a longtime Borger resident. She was a retired Borger Independent School District teacher, and member of Faith Covenant Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Self in 1959.
Survivors include a son, Tom Self of Sumpter, S.C., a sister, Josephine Word of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Faith Covenant Church Memorial Fund.
