Another one of Cottle County's pioneers slipped into eternity Sunday afternoon, June 6, in the passing of George Starling Watson, age 92, retired farmer, and a resident here since 1912.
Final rites were held Monday afternoon, June 7, at 4:00 p.m. from the local First Methodist Church, with the Rev. I.E. Briggs, pastor, officiating. The large crowd present for the last rites revealed the esteem his many friends and relatives held for him.

Later he moved to Paducah.
