LUBBOCK - Memorial services for Anna L. Spidy, 100, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lubbock with the Rev. George R. Estes, pastor, the Rev. Andrew D. Parker and Elizabeth W. Parker of Church of Heavenly Rest, Episcopal, Abilene, officiating.
Mrs. Spidy died Wednesday, July 15, 1992 in Lubbock Hospitality House.
She was born in 1891 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and came to the United States in 1893 residing in New York City, N.Y., where she married Philip A. Spidy in 1912. The couple moved to Borger in 1928 where they lived until Mr. Spidy died in 1957.
Mrs. Spidy lived in Florida and Bartlesville, Okla. before moving to Lubbock in 1970. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church, Borger.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Ann Spidy Parker, Lubbock; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church memorial fund in Lubbock.
