Evart J. Best was born on September 20, 1895 in Michigan to James Andrew Best (1860–1938) and Ida Mae Eaton Best (1867–1931).
He is the brother of Baby Best (unknown–1893) and Mary Cordelia Best McCaslin.
Mr. Best was a Bugler in the U.S. Army and is a World War I Veteran.
Evart married Eunice Orell in 1920 in Harris County, Texas; divorced in 1947. Sometime after 1947 he married Dorothy Stephens (1912–2005).
Mr. Best died on November 16, 1973 at the age of 78 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He and Dorothy are buried together at Forest Park Lawndale.
