Funeral services for Stanley D. Strickland, 61, of 4529 Philview, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bunavista Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lacewell, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.

Strickland died Wednesday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

He was born July 9, 1914 in Coryell County. He has been a Borger resident for the past 30 years.

He was an employee of Phillips Petroleum Company at Philblack Plant and was a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Delcie of the home; five sons, Charles Robert of Valley Center, Calif., Jerry Dayne of Huntington Beach, Calif., Donald Kent of Dumas, Larry Keith of Ford, Kan., and Aaron Dennis of the home; five daughters, Linda Fay Holcomb of Amarillo, Edith Reeves of Borger, Delcie Elaine Strickland of the home, Claudine Bolin of Carrizo Springs and O'Retha Jackson of Sherman.

A brother, Delman Strickland of Ropesville; a sister, Mozelle Powers of Dimmitt; 26 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Casketbearers will be Ray Thomas, W.W. Harris, R.R. Copeland, Joe Duncan, Earl Blakely and Joe Sinor.
