Services for Alford A. Swaffar, 78, of 819 Hackberry, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Lindbloom, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Swaffar died at 3:40 p.m. Thursday in North Plains Hospital.

A native of Atoka, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 57 years. He was a retired boilermaker, member of International Boilermaker's Union, and Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin Tucker of Fritch, Mrs. Jim Wolfe and Mrs. Neal Ferguson, both of Borger; five step-daughters, Mrs. C.D. McDonald of Fritch, Mrs. Marlin Butterfield of Wenatchee, Wash., Mrs. Derald Miller of El Reno, Okla., Mrs. Riley Wiggs of Blackwell, Okla., and Mrs. R.R. Platt of Borger; three step-sons, J.R. Stout of Anderson, Mo., Wayne Hinds of Anaheim, Calif., Darrell Hinds of Buena Park, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Tannehill of Borger, and Mrs. Melvin Crawford of Hillsboro, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wolfe, Ricky Wolfe, Jimmy Wolfe, Bruce Ferguson, Tommy Ferguson, Roy Ferguson, and Buddy Tucker.
