*Obituary
Funeral services for C.W. (Bill) Syphax, 61, of Fritch, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains. The Rev. Dr. Robert Presnall, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Ray Poulain, Karl Karlin, Noble Hoppe, Randale Cowan, Ivan Bolls and Lee Freeman. Honorary casketbearers are Syphax' co-workers at the Exploration and Production Department of Phillips Petroleum Company.
Syphax died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Hospital, Amarillo. He had been a Phillips Petroleum Company employee since 1944 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene of 300 Cornell; father, Charles M. Syphax and brother, Kenneth Syphax, both of Terre Haute, Ind.
