Son of Robert M. Gillespie and Lillian Elizabeth Cunningham. Born in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas.
Brother of Stella Novalma Gillespie Cauley, Robert James Gillespie, John E. Gillespie, Katherine Louise Gillespie McCrary and Webb Clay Gillespie.
Mr. Gillespie died at the age of 53 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was married at his time of death.
