CLARK, JAMES BRITTON - Walker County, Texas | JAMES BRITTON CLARK - Texas Gravestone Photos

James Britton CLARK

Clapp Cemetery
Walker County,
Texas

James Britton Clark was born on January 16, 1872 in Grimes County, Texas to Jacob "Jake" and Mary Annie (Turner) Clark, natives of Mississippi.

His Father died between 1878 and 1879, prior or during the pregnancy/birth of their last born child. James' mother was living with her son Plummer from 1880 to 1900 and she died between the 1920/1930 census. The parents burial site is not known at this time, but most likely in Walker County or Grimes County, and I would not be surprised that someone finds them, in the Clapp Cemetery someday. Mother Mary had the family living in Walker county in 1880. The 1900 census indicates, Mary had five children with five surviving in 1900.

James had four other siblings:
Alice, John Wilson, Franklin Plummer, and Eugine Clark.
