Felix Morris Atkinson was born on January 22, 1922 at Trinity, Trinity County, Texas to Ernest Nolan Atkinson and Sallie Naomi Andrews. He is the brother of Lillie Leona Atkinson Kirkland, Hayward Atkinson, Hershal Arnold Atkinson and Ulmagene Atkinson Clark.
He enlisted out of Texas into the military on May 18, 1939 and was assigned to 204 General Hosp 2d Provisional Station Hospital Medical Department. Felix was honorably discharged on August 3, 1945 after serving in World War II.
Mr. Atkinson died on December 12, 1949 at the age of 28, at Fort Bayard, Grant County, New Mexico.
