Pearl Harbor Vet
In Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky on November 28, 1915, Leslie Trosper Messamore was born to James William Messamore and Effie L. Trosper.
He is the brother of Margaret Lillian Messamore Hohnstine, Daisy Messamore Fite and William Rayburn Messamore.
Leslie was enlisted in the military from Enlistment February 12, 1953, until August 31, 1959. He is a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Messamore is a Pearl Harbor Survivor.
He married Miss Sue Ellen Nolph of Brookville, Pennsylvania, on January 21, 1954, and they are the parents of Dr. Karl Andrew Messamore, M.D., who attended the University of Texas.
On August 18, 1995, Mr. Messamore died in Austin, Travis County, Texas at the age of 79.
