Carson Robert Steele was born in Arkansas on May 16, 1908 to Sallie Shilling and Robert W. Steele. He is the brother of Edgar Allen Steele, Finis Lee Steele, and Clyde Thomas Steele.
He is the husband of Hazel Carentha Marlow. They are the parents of Bettie Jo Steele Naylor.
Carson enlisted in the U.S. Navy on December 23, 1942 and was honorably discharge on April 12, 1945.
Mr. Steele died on September 9, 1978 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at the age of 70.
