*Obituary
Joe Whitehead, 45, died at his residence Friday afternoon about 4 o'clock, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Negro Baptist Church. Interment will be in Highland cemetery, under direction of the Powell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitehead is the only survivor.
