Funeral Mass for Ramiro Almager, Sr., age 58 of Midland, Texas will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Almager was born in Seminole, Texas to Maria Salinas and Pete Almager, Jr. on May 4, 1963. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a self-employed welder. He had many hobbies including hunting and metal works. He and his dad built trailers and boxing arenas for the Golden Gloves program. Mr. Almager farmed peanuts, cotton and watermelons in the1980s, and he enjoyed working on his tractor and riding horses. He loved his dog Max dearly. He made friends easily and never knew a stranger.
Ramiro Almager, Sr. passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Pete Almager, Jr. and his son's mother, Lily Perez Almager. He is survived by his wife, Delma Hernandez of Midland; one son, Ramiro Almager, Jr. of Houston, Texas; one stepson, Christopher Garza and wife Tara of Midland, Texas; two stepdaughters, Stacie Garza of Costilla, New Mexico, and BreeAnn Garza of Midland, Texas; his mother, Maria Almager of Midland, Texas; three brothers, George Almager and companion Gay Lynch of Midland, Texas, David Almager of Dallas, Texas, and Rolando Almager and wife Maribel of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Dalia Almager-Bryan of Boerne, Texas, Norma Almager of San Antonio, Texas, and Erica Bingham and husband Michael of Midland, Texas; one granddaughter, Gracie Morales of Midland, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
