WHEELER - Kathy Renee' Atherton, 31, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in Paris.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Stiles, pastor of Allison Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Kathy was born May 7, 1975, in Shamrock to Russell and Barbara Ann Atherton. Kathy attended schools in Wheeler, Shamrock, Kelton and Wilberton, Okla. In 2001, she graduated from Kiamichi Vo-Tech School in McAlester, Okla., in the top percent of her class. Kathy worked at Paris Nursing Home in Paris. She was a member of the LVN Association.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Liggett and husband John of Roxton; her father Rusty Atherton and wife Noveta of Wheeler; two sons, Ja Colby Napier and Ka Monte Martin; four sisters, Angel Thomas and Chynna Atherton, both of Wheeler, De Ann Aderholt of Bakersfield, Calif., and Misty Snelgrooes of Dalhart; a brother, Kelly Aderholt of Bakersfield; her fiance, Ira Franklin and his three children of Roxton; and a grandparent, Darville Atherton of Wheeler.

The family suggests memorials be to the Ja Nae Goad Memorial Fund or The American Heart Association.
