Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Atwood who died suddenly here last Thursday morning May 11, 1950 were held at the Methodist Church last Friday afternoon May 12, 1950 at 4 PM with pastor Rev. Darris Egger, in charge. He was assisted by Rev. O.C. Evans.

Mrs. Louise Rogers Atwood was born in the Twitty community March 14, 1916 and passes away at Wheeler May 11, 1950 at the age of 34 years, 2 month and 7 days. Mrs. Atwood had been a resident of Wheeler County all her life.

Survivors include the husband, Walter Atwood, two sons and two daughters, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers of Wheeler, and three brothers: Willis, Willard and Wayne Rogers all of Wheeler.

Mrs. Atwood was a member of the Methodist Church at Kelton.

Pall bearers were: R.G. Russ, Harry Wofford, Troy Miller, Albert Anderson, Dorsie Hutchison, Milton Lisle, Cecil Denson, and Pete Baird.

Flower attendants were: Exa Blake, Helen Sabee, Lucille Anderson, Ione Miller, Lottie Eva Denson, Lila Anderson, Alverne Hutchison, Lucille Hutchison, Opal Smith, Lorene Errington, and Alene Anderson.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walter Atwood and an infant son passed away at a local hospital early this morning (Thursday).

Funeral arrangements were incomplete but had been tentatively set for Friday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock at the Wheeler Methodist Church. The bodies are at the Kirk-Mason Funeral Home here.

Mrs. Atwood is survived by the husband and 4 children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers, and several brothers.
