Clarence Roy Bailey, 72, passed away at the Abraham Memorial Rest Home at Canadian, Friday, July 28, 1972, after several months of illness.
His home address was of Wheeler, Texas. He was born September 3, 1899, Forestburg, Texas. He was the son of Jewett Bailey. He was married to Zinnie Kerr in 1918 at Forestburg, Texas.
Mr. Bailey had lived in Wheeler Co. since 1919. He was a farmer and carpenter until he retired in 1970.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Zinnie, of Wheeler, 2 daughters, Mrs. Paul Luttrell, Amarillo, and Mrs. Grady Havenhill of Woodward, Oklahoma, 1 Son, C.R. Bailey Hallandale, Florida, 3 Sisters, Mrs. Percy Farmer, Wheeler, Mrs. Doris Baumgardner, Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Imogean Gore, Amarillo, 2 Brothers, Cecil, Wheeler, and Pat, Shamrock, 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church, Wheeler, Sunday at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith McCormick, pastor officiating.
Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Pall Bearers were, Charles Hubbard, Thomas Helton, Don Farmer, Gene Havenhill, Bill Owens, Albert Marshall, Honorary Pallbearers: Deacons of the Baptist Church, John Hodges, and Shelby Pettit.

WHEELER - Zinnie Bailey, 99, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Montage County and moved to Wheeler County in 1919. She worked at McIlhany Dry Goods, ran a malt shop in the 1950s and was employed in the school cafeteria. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Garden Club.
She married Clarence Roy Bailey in 1918 at Forestburg. He died in 1972.
Survivors include a son, C.R. Bailey of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Berniece Havenhill of Pampa and Charlene Luttrell of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Walter Kerr of Lubbock; a sister, Jewel Moore of Wheeler; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
