*Obituary
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church here Friday afternoon for A.J. Baker, former Wheeler resident, who died at his home in Canadian Wednesday afternoon. Rev. A.C. Woods had charge of the service and was assisted by Rev. P.D. Fullingim.
Mr. Baker was born at Pilot Point, Texas April 24, 1878. He was married to Della Brown in 1898; one child, Ethel, was born to this union. Mrs. Baker passed away in 1899. He was married to Cora McManus in 1903; to this union eight children were born. The wife and five children preceded him in death, and three, Mrs. Audrey Bentley of Canadian, Hoyett of Wichita Falls and Weldon of Ft. Worth, remain to mourn his passing.
Interment was in the Wheeler cemetery.
