Last Rites for Dorotha Brown
Mrs. Dorotha Jo Brown passed away at her home in Wheeler Monday afternoon at 1:15 at the age of 38 years, 10 months, and nine days. Funeral services will be conducted from the Pentecostal Church of Allison at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. Howard Smelser, officiating. Interment will be in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Home of Wheeler in charge.
Mrs. Brown was born at Allison, April 9, 1918. She was a member of the Allison Pentecostal Church. She had lived in the Allison and Wheeler Communities all her life.
Surviving include: the husband, Guy Brown of Wheeler, the children, Billie Ruth, Richard Len, Donald L. Ronald L., and Carrol Joe, all of the home.
Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Sanford Miller of Allison; three brothers, Olan Garner, Lynwood, Calif., Charles Garner, San Francisco, Calif.; and James Garner of Wheeler. Five sisters, Mrs. Oleta Jones, Sudan, Tex.; Mrs. Mary Hartley, Reydon, Okla.; Mrs. Ruth Haggard, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Bell Bradstreet, Wheeler; and Mrs. Betty McCoy of Amarillo.
Her father preceded her in death.
