Samuel Paul Akins was born in Marlin, Falls County, Texas on April 2, 1914 to Daniel Webster Atkins and Mabel Irwin.
In 1938, he married Minnie Lee McMillan.
Mr. Atkins died on September 2, 1956 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at the age of 42.
