Lawrence T. Crowder, 78, died Wednesday, January 11, 1984.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 12 at First United Methodist Church in Wheeler, Rev. Ernest McGaughey, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Richerson Funeral Home.
Mr. Crowder was born in Denton County and moved to Wheeler County in 1925. He was a retired butcher and farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was married to Ora Herd in 1931 at Wheeler. She died in 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Clay of Shamrock; two sisters, Etta Kate Hubbard of Canyon and Hazel Crowder of Anton, a brother, Malcolm of Anton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
