Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 16, 1972, at 3:00 in the First Methodist Church of Wheeler for Mrs. Bertha Denham, 88, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 1972 at Parkview Hospital after an illness of 2 1/2 months. Rev. M.B. Smith officiated at the services.

Mrs. Denham was born Jan. 25, 1884 in Springfield, Mo. She was married to Anderson Denham August 25, 1899 in Fort Worth, Texas. She had lived in Wheeler County since 1920. Mrs. Denham was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Serving as pall bearers were J.C. Moore, Jr., C.L. Moore, Shorty Sechrist, Gene Denham, Ray Denham and Kenneth Denham.

Survivors include three sons: Charley Dexter Denham of Wheeler, Shirley Bruce Denham of Pampa and Marion Leon Denham also of Pampa; three daughters, Mrs. Garnet Gunter of Wheeler, Mrs. Berta Faye Corbin of Amarillo and Mrs. Ruth Lanton of Wheeler; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
