Graveside Rites Friday For Betty Finsterwald Dobbs

Betty Finsterwald Dobbs, 79, died Sunday, February 12, 1995, in Willis.

Services were at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday in Cashner Funeral Home Chapel at Conroe. Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday in the Wheeler Cemetery with Bill Morrison, minister of the Wheeler Church of Christ, officiating. Local arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dobbs was born in Mobeetie and was the daughter of Swiss immigrants, who were pioneer ranchers in wheeler County. She graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock. She was a schoolteacher and had worked in a bank.

She served with the Red Cross and the War Department during World War II and was stationed in Washington, Hawaii and Nuremberg, Germany. She met and married Eugene H. Dobbs in Nuremberg. He died in 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Dobbs of New Waverly and Deborah K. Dobbs of Austin; and a sister, Clara Holmes of Albuquerque, N.M.
