Rites Held at Wheeler for Mrs. Forace Evans

Mrs. Forace Evans, 55, died Monday, March 23, in Highland General Hospital, Pampa, after a long illness.

Mr. and Mrs. Evans had lived here about four years, coming after most of his work with the Texas Highway Department was in this area. They continued to maintain a home in Allison, however, where they had lived since their marriage.

Mrs. Evans was the former Newasa Lahoma Hayes [sic] and was born Dec. 4, 1914 at Aberfoyle. She and Mrs. Evans were married Sept. 27, 1935, at Wheeler.

She was a member of the Allison Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Wheeler, with the Rev. Ronnie Chadwick, pastor of Allison Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Aaron of Graham; a son, Larry Don Evans of Lubbock; a brother, and sister, Leon Hayes [sic] of Allison and Miss Edith Hayes [sic] of Amarillo; and six grandchildren.

Most members of the Highway Department office here attended the services at Wheeler.
