Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Alice Forrest, resident of Wheeler county since 1909. Bro. Lloyd Rice conducted the services.

Mrs. Forrest died late Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roxie Tipton in Hobart, Okla.

She had been a member of the Christian Church since she was a small girl.

Mary Alice Frazier was born Dec. 5, 1861, in Columbus, Miss., and was married to James Forrest at Roxton, Lamar County, in 1881. To this union ten children were born. Her husband preceded her in death June 22, 1940.

Mrs. Forrest leaves to mourn her passing, her six sons and two daughters. They are Monroe and Herbert of Pampa, Johnie of Portales, N.M., Tom of Amherst, Lawrence of Kelton, Homer of Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Annie Montgomery of Williams, Calif., and Mrs. Roxie Tipton of Hobart, Okla. Mrs. Montgomery and Homer Forrest were unable to be present for their mother's funeral.

Pall bearers included Ruffus Watts, Marl Jaco, Morgan Pride, W.W. Adams, Hammie Herd and O. Nations.

Flower bearers were Mesdames Lucille Stamps, Lucille Forrest, Lonnie Clemons, Verndel Pride, Agnes Flowers and Erma Forrest.

Burial was beside the husband in the Wheeler cemetery under the direction of the Hunt Funeral Home.
