Funeral services are slated for 2 p.m. Monday in the Duenkel Funeral Home Chapel for James Monroe Forrest, 316 N. Wells, who died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Worley Hospital.

Rev. Jack Pape, minister of Church of Christ (Harvester & Mary Ellen) will officiate and assisted by Rev. Jerald Barnard of the Church of Christ in Pampa and Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery.

Born Feb. 1, 1887, in Roston, Tex., he was a retired farmer. He lived in a small community north of Wheeler until his retirement, when he moved to Pampa. He moved from Pampa to Monticello, Utah, where he married Ethel Schultz Dec. 2, 1954. The couple moved back to Pampa in 1964. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel; three sons, Robert Forrest of Garden City, Kans., Walter Forrest of Canadian, and Jimmie Forrest of Monticello, Utah; three brothers, Tom Forrest of Lubbock, Herbert Forrest of Spearman and Homer Forrest of Moore, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
