Robert Merwin Adair Jr. was born to Robert Merwin Adair Sr. and Ruby Faye Thane in Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas.
His mother died when he was 6-7 years of age, in 1952, and his father's second wife Cleo May Henderson Adair raised him as her own. Cleo married his father in 1956.
Mr. Adair died at the age of 43 in Harris County, Texas.
NOTE:
His middle initial on his marker is a mistake; his middle name is "Merwin".
