Louis Wayne Grayson, 68, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1994, in Wheeler.

Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Allison School. Elder Jack Hays of Wheeler and Clyde Dukes of Allison officiated. Burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mr. Grayson was born in Paris, Texas. He was a veteran, servicing with the Navy during World War II. He married Reta Aderholt in 1950 at Allison. He moved to Allison in 1937 from Reydon, Okla. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wheeler. He was the Wheeler County Democratic chairman for several years and served on the Parkview Hospital Board of Directors for 26 years. A farmer and rancher, he was employed by Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service for 30 years, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Grayson and Johnny Grayson, both of Allison; a daughter, Deborah Jones of Allison; four brothers, Cecil Grayson of Lexington, Okla., Erskin Grayson of Allison, David Grayson of Sayre, Okla., and Bobby Joe Grayson of Spearman; two sisters, Gladys Hastie of Sayre and Margilu Reynolds of Reydon; eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Everett Dollar, Bob Dukes, Boyd Huff, Bill Robetson [sic], Clifton Taylor and Dean Tipps.

Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Cornell, Rondal Evens, Jerry Hefley, Leon Lane, Verne Lohberger, Bob Markham, Bill Morrison and Zeland Rainey.

The family request memorials be to the American Cancer Society.
