Pleasant Costilow was born in 1838 in Arkansas.
Mr. Costilow is a Confederate Veteran. He mustered in on November 1, 1861 in Arkansas.
He married Edith Riley in Clark County Arkansas. They are the parents of Samuel Harrison Costilow.
Mr. Costilow died in 1972 en route to Texas with his family. Mrs. Costilow and her son made their way to Henderson County, Texas, where she remarried Mr. H.R. Stephens and her son lived with a paternal uncle (Mr. George Riley) and his family in Henderson County, Texas.
