*Obituary
Services were held Wednesday, June 21, 1972 at 4:30 in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler for Paul Green, 69 who passed away near Sayre, Okla. Monday, June 19, 1972 following a sudden heart attack. Officiating at the services was Rev. Keith McCormick of Wheeler, assisted by Rev. M.B. Smith of Pampa.

Mr. Green, 69, was born April 39 [sic], 1903 in Greenville, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Green. He was married to Anna Wegner Nov. 20, 1927 in Wheeler. He had lived in Wheeler for 30 years. He was a retired employee of Southwestern Public Service Co. Mr. Green was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheeler.

Serving as pall bearers were Hiram Whitener, W.D. Mitchell, Jack Hefley, Richard Hefley, Carroll Pettit, Harper Muse, Richard Gaines and Charles Hubbard. Honorary Pallbearers were Glen George, Fred Waters, Farmer Hefley, Ralph Smotherman, Shelby Pettit, J.C. Moore, Jr., Bill Chapman, Bill Owens, Watson Burgess, and Maurice Burgess.

Survivors include his wife, Anna of Wheeler, one daughter, Mrs. Paula Hays of Sunray, one son, Harold of Canadian, one sister, Mrs. Elva Scott of Amarillo and 5 grandchildren.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
