*Obituary
Clyde Ray "C.R." Guynes, 85, of Crosby, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, in a local hospital.
He was born August 21, 1924, to Eugene Dixon Guynes and Margaret Kendall Guynes in Wheeler, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator at the Phillips Refinery for thirty-seven years. Mr. Guynes was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheeler and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Besides his grandchildren and his family, he enjoyed welding, listening to Polka music, and fiddle playing.

Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister, Mr. Guynes is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anita Guynes, of Crosby; sons, Mickey Guynes and wife, Helen, of Seguin, Texas, and Richard Guynes and wife, Diane, of Crosby; four grandchildren, Amy LeGarde, Holly Miller, Carrie Murphy and Mitchell Bynum; six great-grandchildren, Chase, Colby, Tobin, Robin, Logan and Landon; two sisters, Presley Hollar and Flo Beaty; and numerous other friends and family members. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at ll:00 a.m. in the Family Center of Crespo & Jirrels. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown 77521, 281.839.0700.
