*Obituary
Sarah Elizabeth Guynes, 91, passed away August 9, 1965 in Pomona, Calif. after an illness of three years.

She was born in 1874 in Tallediga [sic], Ala, the daughter of William and Tempe Wildman.

In 1889 she married Henry B. Guynes and came to Wheeler in 1900. She later moved to California in 1938 and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Guynes was preceeded in death by her husband in 1912.

Surviving are 5 sons: Dick of Wheeler; A.B. of Amarillo; Smith of Fresno, Calif.; Bill of Fontana, California and Doc of Shamrock; 5 Daughters: Mmes: Georgia Emler, Fresno, Calif.; Maude Martin, Pomona, Calif., Gladys Kinsley, Pomona, Calif.; Nina Hare, Corpus Christi and Jack Stafford of Willa Platte, Louisana [sic]; 37 grandchildren; 95 great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren.

Services were held August 14, 1965 at the Wheeler First Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Perdue and Rev. Dale Cain officiating.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright-Denson funeral home.
