Samuel D. Hale, Jr., 64, died Wednesday, August 16, 1989 in Amarillo.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18 in First Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Helsley, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Hale, born in Philadelphia PA., moved to Wheeler in 1976 from Amarillo. He returned to Amarillo in 1988. He married Glynetta Trimble in 1972 at Pampa. She died in 1988. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include two brothers, Richard Hale of Borger and Tommy Hale of Midland; a sister, Nancy Harris of Amarillo; a nephew, Mickey Bolton of Amarillo; and other neices [sic] and nephews.

Pallbearers were members of the Tascosa High School Junior Naval R.O.T.C., Amarillo, Texas.
